Australian Marists Gather in Sydney.

Marist Brothers from the two Australian Provinces gathered at St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill on the afternoon of 12th January for four days of consultation regarding the formation of a new Australian Province from the Provinces of Melbourne and Sydney. Over 250 Brothers gathered in the biggest group of Marist Brothers in a long time. Br Ben Consigli, Provincial of the United States Province is acting as facilitator/animator in what is the ongoing work of bringing the two Provinces together - a work which started in earnest in 2008 and which will continue until the 8th December 2012.

The gathering started and continues with much enthusiasm and hope for the future. The theme for the gathering is concerned with bringing forth something new and one of the aims is for the Brothers from the two Provinces to deepen their friendships and knowledge of each other.
