At prayer this morning I recalled his kindness while talking with me as a postulant in a Benedictine Community in Pittsburgh, Pa in 1960 with his arm around me as I shared my awful experiences of living with an alcoholic father. I left the community in 1986, joined a non-denominational church with a strong emphasis on the Bible in 2007 and in 2008 through that church was able to welcome God as "Father" into my life. Ron was my first experience of a person as a Father figure and when I could finally call God "father" I pictured Ron as an example of how great our God must be. Today I have a strong relationship with Christ, the Father and the Spirit and God continues this with me. I would appreciate any response. Thank you for sharing him with me. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! I am sure you enjoyed the Mass and dinner as well as catching up on family and friends. Longevity reigns for the 75 and 70 year jubilarians - hopefully your nextmilestone if the Lord desires.

While you were celebrating I was showing my American visitors from El Paso the sights and sounds of Sydney. I now know why I live in Alice Springs - Sydney is too crowded (over 5 million) - I will stay in the Red Centre where I have space and only 27,000 people! The Red Centre is now the The Green Centre after record rains this year so far (almost 15 inches). I drove down to Uluru-Kata-Tjuta and stayed four days and one night at Kings Creek Station, where I had not stayed before. The station is 35kms before Kings Canyon. I even managed a one hour camel ride!! A few sore spots the next day!

Four days in Sydney were great but give me the "Alice" any day.

Congratulations Justin

Love Nort
